Mr. Goldberg was elected to the CES Board of Directors in August 2021.

Mr. Goldberg is the founder and CEO of Carbon Direct. He has a strong background in energy investing and institutional asset management, with a further focus on climate change. Mr. Goldberg also sits on the board of the Center on Global Energy Policy at Columbia University, and is an advisor to Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory’s report on negative emissions.

Prior to Carbon Direct, Mr. Goldberg was the founder and Managing Partner of BBL Commodities. He also worked as a partner at Glencore and an investor at Goldman Sachs in the J. Aron commodities division.

Mr. Goldberg holds a Bachelors Degree with honors in economics from Yale University.
