CES Gas Generator Reaches 700 Hour Mark

October 20, 2005

The CES gas generator recently surpassed 700 operating hours and 6 months of exporting electrical power to the grid. Gas generator operations now exceed 100 hours per week in a two-shift operation. The CES combustor powers the Kimberlina Zero-Emission Power Plant near Bakersfield, CA, the world’s cleanest fossil-fuel power plant. The Kimberlina plant was commissioned in May 2005, and on 30 June 2005, the California Energy Commission gave approval to enter long-term durability testing of the CES gas generator. These milestones demonstrate continued CES progress in proving the reliability and durability of its gas generator.
