CES Gas Generator Reaches 1,000 Hour Mark

Dec 3, 2005

The CES Gas Generator powering the company’s Zero-Emission Kimberlina Power Plant (near Bakersfield, CA) surpassed 1,000 cumulative operating hours and 8 months of exporting electrical power to the grid on December 1st. The gas generator’s 1,000th hour was logged during a continuous (uninterrupted) run that itself exceeded 100 hours. Continued gas generator durability testing is planned in 2006, along with initial testing on coal-derived synthetic gas. The 1,000 operating hour milestone creates another reliability benchmark for the CES combustor.
