Director of Manufacturing
Mr. Hayes is the Director of Manufacturing at Clean Energy Systems, joining the company in February of 2012. In this capacity, he oversees all hardware fabrication and manufacturing process development efforts for CES. He works closely with design engineering and marketing in the development of new technologies and products to assure producible and cost-effective designs.
Prior to CES, Mr. Hayes served in multiple positions in both engineering and manufacturing at Aerojet Rocketdyne in a 38+ year career. Beginning as a rocket component designer, working as a project engineer, manufacturing engineer, manufacturing and engineering manager, Mr. Hayes developed a strong technical expertise in conventional and non-conventional manufacturing processes, materials and platelet related technologies. He developed many of the processes used today in the fabrication of platelet devices.
Mr. Hayes holds a Bachelor of Science Mechanical Engineering degree from California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo, where he graduated summa cum laude. He has performed post graduate studies at Cal State Sacramento and at the University of California, Davis. He holds multiple U.S. Patents, many associated with platelet devices, and has published technical studies and reports for government and industry.
