Nicholas W. Allard

Partner—Patton Boggs. Prior to joining Patton Boggs Mr. Allard chaired the government relations group at Latham & Watkins LLP. He served as Administrative Assistant and Chief of Staff to Senator Patrick Moynihan from 1986 to 1987; from 1984 to 1986 he was Minority Staff Counsel to the Senate Committee on the Judiciary, where he served as legal counsel to Senator Edward Kennedy. Mr. Allard is a prolific author on telecommunications, health and legislative issues. Mr. Allard also teaches at both George Mason University Law School and the Georgetown University McDonough School of Business. As a Rhodes Scholar he is the secretary of the Maryland/DC selection committee for Rhodes Scholarships. Mr. Allard is a graduate of Princeton and Oxford Universities.

David G. Assard

Former President and CEO of Elliott Turbomachinery, a global leader in the design, manufacture, installation, and service of turbomachinery -including air and gas compressors, steam turbines, power recovery turbines, bow thrusters and power generating equipment. Previously President & CEO of Textron Lycoming, a $1.2B annually Aerospace Engine Manufacturer; President and COO Cessna Aircraft, a $1.5B annually airplane manufacturer.

Roger Ballentine

President of Green Strategies Inc., former Chairman of the White House Climate Change Task Force, Deputy Assistant to President Clinton for Environmental Initiatives, and Senior Fellow at the Progressive Policy Institute.

Clayton M. Christensen

The Robert and Jane Cizik Professor of Business Administration at the Harvard Business School. Professor Christensen holds a B.A. with highest honors in economics from Brigham Young University (1975), and an M.Phil. in applied econometrics and the economics of less-developed countries from Oxford University (1977), where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar. Prior to joining the HBS faculty, Professor Christensen served as chairman and president of Ceramics Process Systems Corporation (CPS), a firm he co-founded in 1984. Professor Christensen is the author of three best-selling books.

Vic Fazio

Former congressmen, served as Chairman of the Democratic Caucus, the third ranking position in the House of Representatives. Mr. Fazio serves on numerous boards including the California Institute, the U.S. Capitol Historical Society and Northrup Grumman Corporation.

Mark S. Fitzpatrick

Former Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the AES Corporation, a leading independent power company with over $34 billion in assets in 28 countries including 47,000MW of power capacity and 17 electricity distribution companies.

Manfred Loeb

Former Executive Director of Tractebel and CEO and Chairman of the business unit EGI (Electricity and Gas International.) Chairman of Compagnie Immobiliere de Belgique, the largest real estate company in Belgium. Honorary Chairman of the Belgium-Hong Kong Society, and Honorary Board Member of Tractebel S.A., a Belgium-based energy company with more than 50,000 MW of installed capacity.

C. Thomas McMillen.

Mr. McMillen served three consecutive terms in the U.S. House of Representatives from the state of Maryland, including membership on the Energy and Commerce Committee. He also served as a co-chair of President Clinton’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports. Prior to his political career, Mr. McMillen played in the NBA for 11 years (1975 – 1986.) Before his professional basketball career, Mr. McMillen, a Rhodes Scholar, was a National Collegiate Athletic Association “All American” at the University of Maryland and a member of the 1972 U. S. Olympic basketball team. Mr. McMillen is currently Chairman of the Washington Capital Advisors, LLC and the Chairman of Global Defense Corporation.

Frank A. McPherson

Chairman and CEO of Kerr-McGee Corporation until 1997, having held those positions since 1983. Mr. McPherson is also a director of ConocoPhillips, BOK Financial Corporation, Tri-Continental Corporation, the Seligman Group of Mutual Funds and INTEGRIS Health, Inc., a not-for-profit health care organization.

David A. Rohy

Chairman, emeritus, San Diego Regional Energy Office, member of the Board. Former Vice Chairman of the California Energy Commission. Retired Director, Engineering Technologies, Solar Turbines, Inc. Principal, Rohy Consulting Associates.

R. James Woolsey

Vice President of Booz Allen Hamilton. Former director of the Central Intelligence Agency and presidential appointee in two democratic and two republican administrations. Mr. Woolsey is currently: the Chairman of the Board of Freedom House, the Chairman of the Advisory Boards of the Clean Fuels Foundation and the New Uses Council, and a Trustee of the Center for Strategic & International Studies. He also serves on the National Commission on Energy Policy.
